Science Fair Summary
On February 18th 2015 Minnesota Math and Science Academy’s future scientists had a chance to take part in our very first science fair. It was a true delight to see the enthusiasm of all students. We had two categories k-2 and 3-6. There were 26 projects and 13 STEM experiments all judged by esteemed community members. Out of those, 9 were selected by Concept Schools to partake in Concept Schools Science competition in Cleveland OH. This is an evident testimony to the great potential in our students.
The lower grades K-2 also demonstrated their science skills. Although k-2 were not part of the judging process, they each earned a participation certificate.
Two projects were awarded gold medal, sixteen silver, and ten bronze. 11 of the projects received honorable mention.
We would like to thank everyone who made our science fair a success. Much thanks to all the participants and their teachers. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the judges who played such an important role in making the first MMSA School Science Fair a remarkable success.
