Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities mission is to create an innovative and effective learning environment with high standards and expectations, delivering a rigorous college preparatory curriculum focused on STEM. This environment is characterized by mutual respect, trust, clear goals, order, and maximized learning time, fostering a culture that promotes and celebrates learning and support.

Vision Language

To prepare all students to be capable and confident in achieving college and career success in STEM fields, HSATC's vision includes ambitious targets: 50% or higher proficiency on state Math and English tests, a 90% rate for student retention, attendance, and promotion, and a 75% staff retention rate.

Program Description

Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities (HSATC) is a K-8 college-preparatory public charter school, distinguished by its outstanding STEM education focus. Our core philosophy, stemming from Concept School Design, asserts that intelligence is not fixed but can be developed in all students through rich and meaningful learning. We believe achievement is the outcome of effort, driven by motivation. At HSATC, academics are enriched by exciting, authentic auxiliary programs designed to boost student motivation and transform their perception of school and education.

The HSATC program model integrates best practices in math and science education. This approach empowers our students to achieve high intellectual standards as they prepare for college, careers, and active citizenship in the global economy.
