Thank you for your interest in Horizon Science Academy Twin Cities (HSATC).

Open Enrollment and Lottery

HSATC is free to any eligible Minnesota resident. The open enrollment period for the upcoming school year is January 1st through April 30th at 5 p.m.

If the number of applications exceeds our capacity for any grade, we will hold a public lottery on May 15th at 5 p.m. Results will be posted by 5:30 p.m.

After the lottery, we will continue to accept applications through December 31st for any remaining open seats.

How to Apply

To apply, please submit an online application. To be eligible for kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.

We also welcome you to schedule a tour to see our students and teachers in action. For tour-related questions or to schedule a visit, please contact Abdikadir Aden.

Enrollment Preference

We give enrollment preference to siblings of currently enrolled students and children of HSATC staff members. If an application for a sibling or staff member's child is submitted by the April 30th deadline, they will be automatically admitted, even if the grade is at capacity. This preference also applies to foster children of a currently enrolled student's parents or staff member.

Non-Discrimination Policy

HSATC does not discriminate based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, gender, public assistance status, disability, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected class. We also provide accommodations for students with disabilities, special needs, and limited English proficiency.

No incentives are offered for student recruitment.
